native bee species in the Amazon are at risk of disappearing forever. These tiny pollinators are essential to the survival of orchids and countless rainforest plants. When bees vanish, entire ecosystems suffer.

We’re working to protect these bees by reducing human disruption and preserving their natural habitats—but we can’t do it alone. Your support helps safeguard the rainforest and the life it sustains.

Our Cause...

The Amazon rainforest plays a vital role in sustaining life on Earth, producing nearly 20% of the world’s oxygen. More than 80% of its plant life relies on rare bee species for pollination, making these pollinators essential to the rainforest’s survival. Yet every minute, the Amazon loses more than a football field of vegetation, destroying critical habitats for native bees. Today, over 400 bee species are classified as critically endangered. Indigenous communities have long been the strongest advocates for protecting these invaluable creatures, but they cannot do it alone. Preserving the Amazon’s bees means safeguarding biodiversity, climate stability, and the future of our planet.

To address this devastating issue, a group of high school and college students in Bolivia came together to protect rare species of native and stingless bees. Through their efforts, they have planted more than 400 native plant species and rescued nearly 18 hives threatened by demolition. Today, they seek to expand this mission to the United States by raising awareness of these extraordinary pollinators—bees that are responsible for nearly one-third of the food we eat.
